West Bengal:  In the row of Statue vandalism Black ink has thrown at a statue of Jawaharlal Nehru in Katwa's Telephone Maidan, last night. Police reached the spot on receiving information & the statue was cleaned later.

Incidents of attack on statues of the Communist idol are still underway, few days before a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was damaged by unknown persons in Thaliparamba area of Kannur. The spectacle of the statue was also damaged.

In West Bengal, Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee's bust was vandalized in Kolkata's Kalighat, at Keoratola Mohasoshan, Kolkata after that PM Narendra Modi also spoke to HM in this regard & has expressed his “strong disapproval” of such incidents.

In Tamil Nadu, Unidentified miscreants poured paint on the idol of Dr. BR Ambedkar in Tiruvottiyur, Chennai. Following this Tripura, Tamil Nadu has staged protests and after that Security has been deployed in these states amid protests.

Communist icon Vladimir Lenin’s statue was also brought down at Belonia town, headquarters of South Tripura district, and days after the BJP’s victory in Tripura elections where a 25-year-long communist government was ousted as reported by Live mint.This nearly 11-ft tall fibreglass statue, which stood on a pedestal at College Square, was brought down on the first week of March with the help of a bulldozer.
