Stayzilla CEO Yogendra Vasupal's plea rejected

Yogendra Vasupal, who was arrested on March 14 in a double whammy for Stayzilla, a special court in Chennai on Thursday declined to release him on bail. The court sent him to one-day police custody.

Mr. Vasupal was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on March 14, 2017,  on charges of cheating and criminal intimidation.

The Special Metropolitan Magistrate court for CCB-CBCID has dismissed the bail plea of him. 

"The CCB is granted custody of the accused from 3 p. m. today till 3 p.m. Friday," the Judge said.

Judge MM Kabir denied the bail plea stating,”Since a police custody application is pending, bail cannot be given at this moment.”The verdict comes after Yogendra has been in judicial custody for nine days, in an alleged case of cheating offline marketing vendor.
