Stock, Rupee-Dollar, Commodity Market Watch: Gold price rose Rs90 to Rs.56,350 per 10 gram in New Delhi on February 22 amid gains in prices of the precious metal overseas. In the previous trade, the price Godl metal had ended at Rs 56,260 per 10 gram. Silver also jumped Rs113 to Rs 66,083 per kg.

Market analysts are of view saying that Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 56,350 per 10 gram, up Rs. 90 per 10 gram. In the overseas market, gold was trading higher at USD 1,841 per ounce while silver was marginally up at USD 21.84 per ounce.

it said that Gold inched higher amid a slight ease off in the dollar index and as investors awaited the minutes of the U.S. Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting that could offer clues on further interest rate hikes.

Rupee Vs Dollar: The Indian rupee depreciated by 10 paise to settle at 82.89  against the U.S. dollar on Wednesday, as intense selling pressure in domestic equities and a strong greenback overseas dented the sentiment.  a sharp decline in crude oil prices in the international market restricted the rupee's fall, forex traders said.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened flat at 82.79, and it moved in a tight range of 82.89 to 82.79 during the session. It finally closed at 82.89 against the U.S. dollar, registering a fall of 10 paise over its previous close of 82.79.

The BSE Sensex crashed 927.74 points or 1.53% to close at 59,744.98, while the broader NSE Nifty declined 272.40 points or 1.53% to 17,554.30.

Foreign Institutional Investors emerged as net buyers in the capital markets on Tuesday as they bought shares worth Rs525.80 crore, as per exchange data.

Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures declined 1.48% to USD 81.82 per barrel.  Meanwhile Bond yields in the U.S. have shot higher this month on anticipation of a firmer action by the Federal Reserve in its efforts to stamp out inflation.
