Vadodara: Stones were thrown at a parade honoring Ram Navami on Thursday in Vadodara, Gujarat, in a significant incident. Following the incident, the area was tense. As soon as the incident was reported, a sizable police force was mobilized. While some persons are being sought after by the authorities, others have been apprehended.

Ram Navami is celebrated with great pomp across the country. Shobha Yatra is also being taken out at various places. Meanwhile, reports of stone-pelting on a procession taken out on the occasion of the Ram Navami festival in Fatepura, Vadodara, Gujarat have also been heard. A large number of heavy police forces have been deployed at the site of the incident. Police also had to fire tear gas shells to bring the situation under control. Police also used batons to disperse the miscreants. At the same time, stones were hurled at Ram Navami processions in Howrah, Bengal. The police took over the front.

According to reports, some of the on lookers began throwing stones at the parade that was being led on the festival of Ram Navami at Fatepur Garana, near Vadodara. Chaos resulted from the stone-throwing, and the temperature rose. Following the violence, a sizable throng from the region began to assemble. After reviewing the CCTV footage from the incident, the police began detaining certain individuals while conducting a search for others.
