In Aurangabad, Maharashtra, a police team, which stopped people going to join the collective prayers, was pelted. Three policemen have been injured in this. 31 people have been arrested in the case. Curfew has been imposed in the area in view of tension.

According to media reports, around 100 people were going to offer Namaz in a mosque on Sambhaji Marg. The police first stopped them and appealed to return to their respective homes citing lockdown. During this, some people became angry. The injured policemen have been admitted to the Valley Hospital in the district. These include one officer and two constables.
