After the repeated abduction of youths from the border areas, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) stated that the BJP-led Central Government should follow through on its repeated verbal assurances to protect Arunachal Pradesh's safety, security, and territorial integrity. The statement was made in response to the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) allegedly kidnapping an Arunachalee you from the Siyungla area of Bishing village in Upper Siang district.

APCC president Bosiram Siram told reporters at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday that this is not the first time a youth from the state has been kidnapped by the Chinese army. The Chinese army abducted five youths from the Sera-7 area of Nacho in Upper Subansiri district in September 2020.

He stated that the state government, in cooperation with the federal government, should create a mechanism to halt the repeated kidnappings of young people living near the country's international boundaries. "China has always posed a danger to India, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh. Rather of discussing the issue, the BJP-led government should take action. As a result, we urge the authorities to act quickly and safely reunite the youth to hid family "he stated
