Strong Storm in Nepal, death toll reached to 7, 2 missing

KATHMANDU: The natural disasters are creating havoc and becoming threat for the humans as on one hand India is facing destructive Titli cyclone and on other a strong storm hit its neighboring country Nepal. Due to this storm Seven people, including South Korean climbers, were killed and two more are missing on Gurja Himal mountain.

As per the reports of KZTV Action 10 New,  Sharing information about the storm, police official Bir Bahadur Budamagar said that A storm Friday night destroyed their camp and two rescue helicopters sent on Saturday were unable to land due to poor weather conditions.The police official further added that Villagers who reached base camp Saturday afternoon found the bodies of four South Korean climbers, two Nepalese guides and another person yet to be identified, while the search was continuing for two more.

Since the weather is main hurdle for the rescue operation and it is unlikely it would get clear therefore helicopter flights were likely to be possible only on Sunday.

It is to be noted that Gurja Himal mountain is 7,193 meter high mountain and climbers from all around the world comes to climb this mountain. The climbers who died were also attempting to scale climb the mountain during the autumn climbing season.
