A special team of the Garhwa police raided the cities of Hamirpur and Mahoba in UP and rescued the abducted woman and her children. The police team arrested two accused involved in the case and also sent them to judicial custody. This action was taken following the direction of CM Hemant Soren.

CM Hemant Soren was informed that a woman from Garhwa district, bordering Uttar Pradesh, has been taken and sold to her two children in Uttar Pradesh. Through Dandai block, this lady of the village somehow contacted her husband on telephone and requested to save herself and children. Her husband had requested help from the Garhwa district and police administration. In the case, the CM had instructed the Garhwa police to bring back the woman and her children.

The Chief Minister has ordered the Deputy Commissioner East Singhbhum to inform the flood affected family of all the necessary assistance in the Pratappur village of Kumaradubi Panchayat of Bahragoda Block. The family's house is completely submerged in the rain. There is no place to eat and drink.
