New Delhi: Due to opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act recently, around Jamia Islamia and in the Jamia Nagar area, there was tension throughout the day on Monday. The protesters took to the streets since morning and the police is engaged in opposing the investigation. On the other hand, there was a demonstration in DU and there was a slight clash between the students and the police. The police conducted a flag march in several areas including Jamia Nagar in the afternoon and evening. Earlier, the students of Jamia protested half-way against the lathi charge in the bitter cold. In the Jamia violence case, 2 injured people were admitted to Safdarjung Hospital on Sunday night, who were shot by police. One of them has been identified as Ahzad, a BE final year student in Jamia.

Supreme Court considers the demand for CBI probe against CAA

According to sources, the injured were admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi's Jamia violence case. The operation of both the injured had to be done at midnight on Sunday, December 15, 2019. One of them got an injury on his legs, but the other patient has got it on his chest. According to those patients, they have been shot. While doctors have not confirmed it.

According to the media report, Dr. Sunil Gupta, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, has only given information about the admission of patients. The Delhi Police has also increased security around ward number 26 in the hospital after the information of both the patients admitted to the hospital last Monday night.
