TEXAS: Days after mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, American students have started countrywide mass walkout. Slogans and chants of “End gun violence” and “Students demand Action” are being carried out.

Students of Oxford high school, Michigan staged a walkout on Thursday, 26th May at 12:00 PM. They faced gun violence last November where 4 students were killed.

The Saugas high school in Santa Clarita, California which was the site of November 2019 shooting which killed two students also saw a walkout and support for National gun safety movement.

Students at schools in Port Washington, New York, Falls Church and Virginia also staged a mass walkout protest.  Student organizers of Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School in Port Washington said that over 600 students walked out of school for support.

Many student leaders said, a walkout may not change the legislation but these actions show that students are still united in this. They also said they might not be old enough to vote, they still want the change to come in altogether.
