Banswara: In the Mandal Parishad Girls Primary School, Birkur Mandal, the girl students had fallen ill after eating mid-day meal on Wednesday. Due to which there was anger among the parents of the students. After learning about the incident, state president Pocharam Srinivas Reddy met the students at the local area hospital on Wednesday. He said there was no danger to the children. After talking to the children, the speaker directed the doctors to treat them better. He directed the officials to investigate and take action against those responsible and take appropriate precautions to prevent such incidents in future.

According to sources, 264 students out of total 321 reached the school on Wednesday and ate mid-day meal. All the students who ate the food started vomiting in the school after 3 pm. A teacher Laxminarayan administered the first aid and later Birkur PHC medical staff treated the students in the school. As the students continued to vomit, they called the 108 ambulance, which did not come even after an hour.

Meanwhile, a large number of parents came to know about their children's illness and rushed to the school. Alleging that the negligence of the teachers caused the disease, he argued with the teachers. Later the students were shifted to Banswara local hospital.
