Varanasi: Students at BHU Sanskrit Vidya Dharm Vigyan Faculty (SVDV) ran after the Dr. Shanti Lal Salvi, Assistant Professor of Literature Department. The incident happened around 12 noon on Monday. Dr. Salvi alleges that an attempt was made to kill him by throwing stones. Calling himself a Dalit teacher, Dr. Salvi has complained to the Chief Proctor about the case.

In a complaint made to the Chief Proctor on this matter, Dr. Salvi has said that the incident happened when he came out of his room at the behest of the students. Meanwhile, some current students used sloganeering slogans and ran to beat. He was going ahead and the crowd was following him. At the same time, Dr. Salvi says that he has no relation with Assistant Professor Dr. Feroz Khan. On the other hand, Dr. Munish Mishra, an alumnus of the Faculty of Sanskrit Sciences, Religion, has denied the allegations of Dr. Salvi.

According to information received from sources, it has been learned that the atmosphere in SVDV was rekindled on Monday. Students opposing the appointment of Assistant Professor Dr. Feroze Khan, boycotted the examination to be held on Tuesday by stalling the work in the faculty. As soon as the students entered the faculty, all the teachers and employees came out of the department. In view of the opposition of the students, the faculty chief postponed the examination to be held from December 10 until further orders. Earlier, a timetable for the examination was issued from December 5, which had to be postponed due to opposition.
