Washington: Former US President Donald Trump has attacked the US government over the way u.S. troops return from Afghanistan, saying the army's withdrawal campaign has never been carried out so badly in history. The current US President Joe Biden had set a deadline of August 31 for the withdrawal of his entire army from Afghanistan, but the Taliban captured Afghanistan about two weeks ago, worsening the situation there. However, this campaign was completed late Monday night.

The US sent its troops to Afghanistan after the 9/11 terror attack on the United States. After the full withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan nearly 20 years later, Trump said, 'The army's withdrawal campaign has never been carried out so badly in history as the Biden administration ran in Afghanistan.' Trump added, 'Apart from these, there should be a demand to return all equipment to the United States immediately because it has taken about $85 billion. If they are not returned, we should obviously send the Army and bring them back or at least drop bombs on them.'

Several leaders, including former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former top US diplomat Nikki Haley at the United Nations (UN), have criticized the Biden administration over the whole development.
