Jammu: In a controversial statement, National Conference (NC) president on Sunday Farooq Abdullah has said that attacks like Pulwama will continue till the Kashmir issue is resolved politically.

While interacting with a group of Kashmiri people stranded in Jammu Kashmir, NC President said that Pulwama attack will be continue if Kashmir issue is resolved politically.  Asserting that the people of Kashmir are not responsible for the attack, Farooq expressed concern over the alleged ill-treatment of Kashmiri students and businessmen residing outside the Valley.

NC said, "Such attacks will continue and will not come down till the Kashmir issue is resolved politically. Please don't beat us. We have no role in it (attack) and we are not with it (terrorism). We want to live with dignity, study and earn our two meals and do not wish to build castles.” urging the Kashmiris to maintain peace and to not indulge in sloganeerin, He further said “We are caught in a grave situation and are not responsible for what had happened as we have no connection with these outfits."

The statemet came after attack on 14 Feb in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed and several others injured.
