Boris Johnson has resigned as prime minister due to a sex scandal in the UK. PM Johnson had nothing to do with this scandal, but giving the post of deputy chief whip to the criminal leader in the party has come down heavily on him. Just this move of Boris Johnson has created an atmosphere of a stampede in his cabinet. First, Finance Minister Rishi Sunak and Health Minister Sajid Javid stepped down and after which the line of resignations started. The pressure has increased so much that Boris Johnson, who sacked the protesting minister a few hours ago, has had to announce his own resignation. But this is not the first time that the world of politics has been in turmoil due to a sex scandal. In the past, many such cases have come to the fore, which has turned the picture of politics.

A sex scandal made Barack Obama president: In 2004 a young charismatic politician was at the forefront of the race to become America's upcoming president. The leader's name is Jack Ryan, who was one of the key candidates for the Republican party's presidential election. Jack Ryan's fame was so high that no leader in his party was willing to challenge him. Through this, his ex-wife and actress Jerry Ryan revealed that Jack started pressuring her to attend sex clubs and had asked him to do some nasty things in public. He had his wife included in "swingers" clubs in New York, New Orleans and Paris. Following the revelations, Ryan withdrew from the 2004 U.S. Senate election and lost to Barack Obama, who replaced him with a candidate, Alan Keys.

In 2008, one of Obama's rivals also left the field: Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are recognized for their clean image. Even in the midst of the 2008 presidential election, one of his rivals withdrew from the contest due to extra-marital affairs. The name of this politician was John Edwards. He had started to nominate for the presidential election by Barack Obama's Democratic Party. John Edwards later withdrew the claim and has begun supporting Barack Obama. A year later it was claimed that Edwards not only had an extramarital affair but also gave birth to a child with former preacher Rielle Hunter. His wife, Elizabeth, was ill at the time of the revelation. She died of cancer in late 2010. Edwards was accused of using up to $1 million in political donations to cover up the case in 2008.

The Profumo Affair had topple the government in Britain: The Profumo Affair in 1963 has begun to see Harold Macmillan's Conservative government fall in the UK. There were allegations then that the then Soviet Union was behind this case. Indeed, John Profumo was the Foreign Minister of War Affairs in the McMillan government. He had an extra-marital affair with 19-year-old model Christine Keeler. Profumo denied this in a statement to the House of Commons, but a police investigation weeks later uncovered the truth. After which it was proved that Minister Profumo had lied to the House of Commons. In such a situation, questions have also been raised about the credibility of McMillan's government. The case took such a turn for granted that McMillan had even resigned as PM  in  October 1963, citing ill health. After which the ruling Conservatives have been badly defeated in the 1964 general election.
