Ranchi: A forest was reported in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand on Saturday morning. During the dousing it, four firefighters were seriously engulfed in the fire. The officials have given this information. He had said that a fire had also broken out in the Bigha forest adjacent to Hazaribagh-Gaya road under the Chauparan police station area. Divisional Forest Officer RN Mishra said that due to the fire, trees and plants in an area of six hectares have been burnt to ashes. This has also caused a huge loss to the Department.
In this regard, he has said that a team of firemen was engaged in extinguishing the fire, but around 9 o'clock, the fire took a severe form and four firemen came under the grip of the fire while extinguishing the fire.
Continuing his speech, he further said that more firemen from Barhi and Hazaribagh were called in and then brought under the control of the fire. The official said it is suspected that some of those who pick up Mahua flowers from this forest may have set them on fire. He said he has lodged a police complaint in this regard.
