Sudipta Banerjee, a Telugu actress, moved to Mumbai on Sunday after landing a Telugu series. The actress admitted that it was one of the most difficult decisions she has ever made since she feels homesick. "A few weeks ago, I travelled to Mumbai for Nagin's look test, and I was chosen." "I didn't want to miss out on such a good chance," she continued.
To play the character convincingly, she is taking regular Telugu classes online. “The production house is providing me with an apartment and a car so I do not have to think about my accommodation, but everything said and done, it would not be the same as Kolkata. This is the first time I will be staying away from my beloved city for at least one and a half years and that is quite painful” she said.
In order to star in the Telugu serial, the actress has already left two Bengali serials, Binapani and Uma. This was yet another difficult choice to make. "By abandoning everything here, I'm taking a risk, and that's difficult," she continued. Her industry buddies wanted to throw her a goodbye bash. "Given the current scenario," she explained, "I didn't believe that was a practical idea."
