Terrorist again in Anantnag, 5 CRPF Jawan Martyred

Srinagar: Terror-hit area the militants have carried out a suicide attack on KP Road in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. The attack has killed 5 Jawans of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). An attacker has also been killed in the incident, while a police officer and a girl, who was a passerby, have been seriously injured, who are undergoing treatment in Srinagar's Army hospital.

Five other jawans were also reported injured in the attack, which is being treated. The attack was claimed by the terror outfit Al-Omar Mujahideen. Police sources said, the attack took place at 5 pm when two terrorists indiscriminately fired upon CRPF and J&K police personnel on patrolling in KP Road, Anantnag.

He informed that the firing lasted for quite a long time, which the police also responded effectively. In the initial attack, three CRPF Jawans were martyred, while two others, who had been hit by gunfire, were rushed to the nearest hospital, but they later succumbed to their fury.  He said five CRPF personnel were also injured, who are currently reported to be in stable condition.
