Baghdad, In a tragic incident on Tuesday, separate suicide bombings in Shia-dominated neighborhoods of the Iraqi capital killed at least 17 people.

According to police official, “the incident tooke place in the eastern New Baghdad neighborhood killing 11 civilians and injuring 28 civilians as well as the nearby shops and cars damaged in the deadliest attack”.

Another deadliest attack occurred after hours later up in an outdoor market in the southwestern neighborhood of Bayaa, and killed six shoppers and injured 21 others.

The ISIS group in online statements, alleged responsibility for the attacks, and said that it targeted Shia militia members.
