Karnal: The funeral of Sant Baba Ram Singh, who committed suicide in support of the ongoing farmers' protest against the agricultural law, will be performed on Friday. Earlier, people are reaching Singada in Karnal to have his last darshan. Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Badal also reached the gurudwara on Thursday morning to pay his last respects to Baba Ram Singh.

The post-mortem of Sant Baba Ram Singh has already been done. Meanwhile, people who have joined the farmers' movement are also reaching Karnal. Gurnam Singh, who staged a sit-in at the Singhu border and engaged in discussions with the government, reached the Gurdwara in Karnal on Thursday. Gurnam Singh says that we met Baba at the protest site a day ago. He said in the conversation that he is very sad due to the farmers sitting like this, this is the butcher government, now even God is giving the message. Baba Ji has sacrificed yesterday.

Mahal Singh, who served in this gurudwara of Singra, has also come to Karnal from Mumbai. According to Mahal Singh, when Baba Ram Singh was 21 days, his parents donated him in the gurudwara itself. He served the entire society through Satsang. Mahal Singh said that he had followers in other countries including Canada, Australia and he used to go there for satsang.
