The Indian football team suffered a major setback on Monday when captain Sunil Chhetri was also ruled out of the international friendly match against Bahrain and Belarus due to injury. Coach Iger Stimac also included the name of the 37-year-old in the probable list of 38-member players. The match is scheduled to take place in Manama on March 23 and 26.  

All India Football Federation (AIFF) has said on the website that, I was very keen to play friendly matches with Bahrain and Belarus, but now I am out. The season proved to be very long and difficult, with some injuries as well. I am trying to recover from this and will be fine soon before May. Out of 38 probables, 8 new faces have also been included in the preparatory camp organized before the friendly match.
