According to reports, blockages were found in Sunil's heart. In such a situation it was very necessary to have surgery. Otherwise, there could have been a risk of a heart attack. Prior to the surgery, the comedian was busy shooting for his upcoming series. Even after his ill health, Sunil was still shooting. But as soon as the shoot ended, he left for treatment.

Popular actress Simi Grewal had tweeted about Sunil Grover's surgery. The actress in a tweet had said shockingly about the comedian's surgery. He wrote- ''I am shocked to know that Sunil Grover has undergone heart surgery. The one who fills our hearts with happiness and laughter...today he is like this. I wish him a speedy recovery. He is a great talent and I am a big fan of him.''
