Sunil Lahiri, a well-known actor of TV's famous serial Ramayana, asked by a media reporter how he watched the telecast of Ramayana during Corona's time. He said, "Ramayana has given positivity to people in this lockdown phase. People are going through this difficult time."
He added, "Ramayana and its teachings have helped people to be positive. The generation at that time saw it from the perspective of faith and reverence. But the difference between the generation of that time and today's generation has become that today it has been seen from a more practical perspective. People have been able to relate to this." When Deepika Chikhaliya was asked for feedback on how Ramayan proved useful in the lockdown.
Responding to this, Deepika, who played the role of Sita, said that Goddess Sita had also been in lockdown in Ashoka Vatika in Lanka. During this time, she faced a lot of hardship and worked with patience. This in itself is a big relation between Ramayana and Lockdown.
