"Nobody was ready to make Ghayal": Sunny Deol

There are talks about nepotism in Bollywood these days. There are many stars who have struggled even after being a star kid and have made their place in the industry. Sunny Deol is included in this. In the nineties, debutant filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi had met several producers to make the film 'Ghayal' but at that time no one showed keenness in making this film. Then in the end, Dharmendra became the producer of this film and this film released. This film was released on June 22, 1990, and was a superhit.

Recently, while talking about this, Sunny brought back memories of the film 'Ghayal'. He told a website, "Raj was about to debut as a director. He told me the story, I liked the story and promised to make it. Apparently, Raj was a new director, so finding a producer was a task. We went to many producers, everyone said 'don't make this picture. Finally, I went to my father."

"My father liked the story and decided to make a film. Papa showed confidence in us and we worked hard." Meanwhile, remembering the first day of the film's release, Sunny said, "I and Raj were very nervous at the screening. When people started coming out of the screening and were about to come to meet me, I told Raj, okay, Now it has been made, we cannot change it. If we fail we will not make such a film from now on." Meenakshi Seshadri, Raj Babbar, Moushumi Chatterjee and Amrish Puri were seen with Sunny in 'Ghayal'.
