Lockdown was implemented in many countries to prevent corona. A member of the Executive Board of the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee has said that if these games are not organized next year, then it will be supported to be held later.

The Olympics were to be held this year but due to Corona, it has been postponed for a year. Haruyuki Takahashi suggested further delay in the games. He said that our priority is to unite and organize the Olympics in the summer of 2021. If this is not possible, then we should start preparing for another delay.

Thomas Bak, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Yoshiro Mori, President of the Local Organizing Committee, however, denied further delay in the Olympics, saying that if it does not start on 23 July 2021, it will be canceled.
