Fadnavis has urged the apex court to reconsider the order in which the Nagpur court was ordered to re-run the trial in a 2014 election affidavit in connection with the concealment of information on two criminal cases. In this, one case is related to defamation and the other case is related to cheating. The court had said that Fadnavis had hidden information about the cases. Significantly, advocate Satish Uke had filed a petition in the apex court alleging that while filing the 2014 election nomination, Fadnavis had filed a false affidavit.

However, no charges were framed against him in both these cases.
