Hyderabad: The apex court has allowed idol immersion in Hussain Sagar Lake this year while hearing a petition challenging the Telangana High Court's verdict on immersion of Ganesh statue at Hussain Sagar Lake in Darabad. At the same time, the apex court ordered the high court's decision to immerse idols in Hussain Sagar Lake to come into effect from next year.

Allowing Ganesh idols to be immersed in Hussain Sagar Lake this year, the apex court also said that the idols will be removed from the crane immediately and shifted to a place with solid waste. At the same time, the Supreme Court said that the High Court Low Guidelines should be implemented from next year to immerse the idols in Hussain Sagar Lake. In this case, the Chief Justice told the state government, 'I know about the pollution of Hussain Sagar Lake. There is a problem with drinking water and there are a lot of difficulties in beautifying and maintaining the lake, you know that this happens every year, so why were the steps not taken on time?'

The Chief Justice said millions of people will participate in the Ganpati festival this year. We're allowing this year because he's saying that the idols will be removed immediately. The Chief Justice said that public discipline and cooperation are also important. Is it possible to instruct millions of people about this lake or tank lake or another lake? We are not happy with government action, but can't make a last-minute decision.
