New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given a big decision while hearing the controversy that started regarding the Gyanvapi disputed structure. The top court ordered the district administration that the place where the Shivling was found should be sealed and given full security, but due to this, prayers should not be interrupted. Along with this, the top court has fixed Thursday 19 May for the next hearing.

The top court has said in its decision that, 'Till the next hearing, we order the District Magistrate of Varanasi to protect the place where the Shivling meets, but Muslims should not face any problem in offering Namaz.' While refusing to stay the survey of the Gyanvapi disputed structure, the top court said on Tuesday (May 17, 2022) that the trial of the matter is going on in the lower court, so it is necessary to wait for the decision of the district court. . The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Hindu petitioners and the UP government on the petition of Anjuman Intejamia Masjid challenging the order of the Varanasi District Court, seeking their response by May 19.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday, a bench of Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimh in the apex court was hearing the petition of 'Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid', the management committee that manages the affairs of Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi. During this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the UP government, said that the UP government needs their help on some issues. In the Supreme Court, the Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Committee has challenged the order of the Varanasi Court to conduct a survey, under which videography of the premises is being done.
