'Unruly web portals write very badly,' SC asked Centre- Is there a solution?

New Delhi: The apex court has expressed concern over Belgaum web portals and YouTube channels. At the same time, all petitions challenging the new IT rules pending in various High Courts have been ordered to be transferred to the Supreme Court, which will now be heard simultaneously. A bench headed by Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramanna said during the hearing that they do not understand why everything and subject is given communal value. He also expressed concern that there are attempts to tarnish the image of judges on social media.

State that the amendment to cable rules 2021 and the Digital Media IT Rules 2021 have been challenged by various petitions in different courts. One of these petitions was being heard by a bench of the apex court. Now all petitions filed in the High Court and the Supreme Court will be heard simultaneously after six weeks. CJI said it seems that no one has any control over the web portal. They run whatever they want.

CJI said there is no accountability of web portals. They never answer us. They write badly lying against institutions. Forget for people, even for the judiciary and justices write anything arbitrarily. Today anyone can play their TV. On YouTube, a lot is shown in just one minute. The court questioned the Central government whether there was any mechanism to deal with it.
