New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing the coal scam to release the list of names of their officials. The Supreme Court has asked both the central investigating agencies to tell the court which officials are needed in the investigation of this case (coal scam).

The court has told both the investigating agencies that the remaining officers who are on deputation can be sent back to their home cadre. In fact, in the coal scam case, the ED has filed an application in the Supreme Court and demanded the transfer of 42 officers. The application states that deputation of 42 officers is ending with the ED. So these officers should be transferred.

Earlier, the apex had ordered that the transfer of officials investigating the coal scam case would not take place without the permission of the court. At the same time, at the last hearing, Judge Ramanna refused to hear the case of the transfer of officials, saying that the Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will take a decision on the listing and hearing of the case.
