Supreme Court finds Centre's response on PIL for doubling number of judges

tyle="text-align:justify">New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday wanted reply from the Centre on a PIL seeking a direction for doubling the number of judges as suggested by the Law Commission.

Chief Justice T S Thakur and Justice R Banumathi,who comprising the bench has issued notice to the Ministry of Law and Justice and Ministry of Finance on the plea filed by BJP leader and lawyer Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay.

The PIL has also required a direction to appliance the firmness of the advisory council of the National Mission for Justice Delivery and Legal Reforms.
