New Delhi: The Supreme Court has expressed its displeasure over the closure of roads of farmers on various borders of the national capital, Delhi, for nearly 11 months. The supreme court has posted the matter for further hearing on December 7 on a petition seeking removal of farmers from the Delhi border. The apex court has given time to farmers' organisations to file replies on their withdrawal from the road.

Hearing the case, Justice SK Kaul said that the roads should be clean. We can't keep deciding the law, again and again, he said. You have the right to agitate, but you can't jam the roads. Now you have to find some solution. The Supreme Court bluntly told the farmers that roads cannot be jammed. People have to travel through those streets. We have trouble with the issue of road jams.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta in the Supreme Court said the apex court has already stayed agricultural laws. Sometimes movements are not for a real reason but for other reasons. Expressing his opposition, Dushyant Dave said, is agricultural law an indirect issue? These are questioning the truth of the farmers.
