The Supreme Court on Friday held simultaneous hearings on three petitions filed by the Supreme Court in connection with the Karnataka crisis. The court ordered all petitions to maintain status quo. The Karnataka Assembly Speaker was given the go-long moratorium till Tuesday to decide on the resignations of the rebel MLAs. The top court will now hear the case on Tuesday. Following the Supreme Court's order in the case, the rebel MLAs of Karnataka appeared before Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar (Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar) on Thursday. Ramesh Kumar said that the MLAs whose resignations were not in the prescribed format have now been received in the correct format. He will examine whether the resignations are voluntary and authentic. After meeting the speaker in Bengaluru, 14 rebel MLAs returned to Mumbai on Thursday evening. A local BJP leader in Mumbai said the MLAs will stay in Mumbai for two more days. The Supreme Court will hear the case again today.
