New Delhi: Hearing a petition filed by Nupur Sharma today, the Supreme Court has granted her interim relief. The arrest of Nupur Sharma has been banned till August 10. The next hearing of the case will take place on the same day. The Supreme Court has also issued notices to the Central Government and the State Governments (wherever FIRs are registered). Nupur Sharma's counsel in the court said that Nupur has been receiving constant threats.

Nupur Sharma, who is facing nine FIRs in different states for her remarks about the same Prophet Mohammed, had filed a fresh application in the Supreme Court. It was heard today on Tuesday. In her application, Nupar had said that the threat to her life has increased after the observations of the Supreme Court (the last hearing). Nupur had also sought a ban on arrests from the court as well as a transfer of all the FIRs to Delhi and hold simultaneous hearings. Nupur's advocate Maninder Singh, before a bench of Justices Surya Kant and Pardiwala, said that since the first FIRs were registered in Delhi. The rest of the FIRs that have been registered were related to the same program. In such a situation, only one FIR which has been registered in Delhi should be considered, all other FIRs should be banned. At the same time, if a new FIR is filed with the same statement, then the court should also ban it.

It was further stated that no arrest or custodial action should be taken. It was said that the Supreme Court is the protector of fundamental rights, so the security of Nupur should be ensured. On this, the Supreme Court said that we will only see that you are not deprived of legal remedies. The Supreme Court further asked that do you want to go to the Delhi High Court? At the beginning of the hearing in the Supreme Court, Advocate Maninder Singh said that Nupur's life is in danger. It was also said that one person has been apprehended from Pakistan. Nupur's house address has been received in the mobiles of some people of Patna. It was told on behalf of Nupur that in such a situation, if I go to every court, then my life is in danger. Nupur's lawyer said that four FIRs have been registered in Bengal. In such a situation, the risk has also increased. On this, Justice Suryakant said that we also do not want you to go everywhere. The court said that as much as they understood Nupur, she want a hearing at any one place. On this, his lawyer said that the first FIR had taken place in Delhi, so the hearing should be held there. Later, the Supreme Court fixed August 10 for hearing the matter and sent notices to the central and state governments. Notice has been sent to Delhi Police, West Bengal, Telangana, UP, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir government on Nupur's petition. At the same time, in any case, strict action will not be taken till then. No action will be taken on the new FIR registered in this case.
