Lucknow: The hearing on a petition filed against the bulldozer action in Uttar Pradesh has been adjourned by the apex court till July 13. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has filed a petition in the Supreme Court that no one's property or construction in UP should be demolished without the necessary procedure. Earlier, during the hearing in the court, the UP government had said that all the constructions which have been demolished were illegal and the entire legal process has been followed in the demolition.

A bench of Justices Surya Kant and JB Pardiwala, which was sitting for the hearing during the summer vacation, said that when the matter is now being heard in the Allahabad High Court, it should be allowed to continue. The court said that the matter was heard in the High Court yesterday itself and the date of hearing is from tomorrow also. With this, Javed Mohammad's wife Parveen Fatima has decided to pursue her case on her own.

Earlier, the UP government had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that whatever action has been taken, the procedure has been followed. At the same time, the bulldozer action has not been taken against anyone for being accused in the riots but has been taken in illegal constructions. This has been stated by filing an affidavit on behalf of the UP government.
