New Delhi: In connection with the new privacy policy, the Supreme Court has sent a notice to Facebook and WhatsApp to reply. The apex court told WhatsApp and Facebook that people's privacy is extremely important. You can be a two-three trillion-dollar company, but people fear that their data is being sold elsewhere. It is our duty to protect the privacy of the people.

Public interest litigation has said that the new privacy policy of WhatsApp and Facebook is violating the privacy of consumers and data is being leaked. It has been alleged that WhatsApp and Facebook have different criteria for Europe and there are different rules for India, this is not fair. The top court has sought answers from both companies. It is noteworthy that CAT National President BC Bhartia and National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal have alleged that WhatsApp has adopted 'My Way or High Way' approach, which is arbitrary, unfair, unconstitutional. It cannot be accepted in a democratic country like India.

He further said that WhatsApp is fraudulently collecting personal user data. At the time of its launch in India, WhatsApp attracted users on the promise of not sharing data and strong privacy principles.
