The Bench headed by Justice NV Ramana, while issuing the notice, has combined the AIMPLB's petition with other petitions challenging the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act 2019.

The bench has said that more than 20 petitions are pending on the triple talaq case at one time.
