Supreme court notice to Bengal government, seeks response on petition of BJP leaders

New Delhi: On the petition of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice President Mukul Roy, National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, MP Arjun Singh, the country's largest court has sent a notice to the West Bengal government. The court also stayed the action against BJP leaders till further orders. The court asked MP Arjun Singh that when 64 cases were filed against you?

BJP MP Arjun Singh's lawyer Mukul Rohatgi said that these cases have been registered between November 2020 ever since we left TMC. I am an MP and cases have been filed against me for inciting riots which are politically motivated. On behalf of Kailash Vijayvargiya, it was said that I am an MP from Madhya Pradesh. I am a party officer. When started going to West Bengal for publicity, then cases were filed against me.

BJP National Vice President Mukul Roy, General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP MP Arjun Singh, Sourav Singh, Pawan Kumar Singh, Kabir Shankar Bose petitioned the apex court to transfer the case registered against them in West Bengal to an independent probe agency and has demanded a hearing outside the state. In the petition, it has been alleged that due to political envy, Mamata Banerjee government has registered several cases against her.
