New Delhi: A total of 8 petitions related to Jammu and Kashmir were heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. During the hearing of the petition of Congress leader and former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress leader's lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented his case before the court. The apex court has allowed Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Kashmir, during which he can visit four districts.

However, during this time he will not be able to attend any political program. After going there, he will submit a report to the top court. A notice has been issued to the center in this regard. After the permission of the apex court, now Ghulam Nabi Azad can go on a tour of Baramulla, Anantnag, Srinagar and Jammu districts. The court has been assured by Ghulam Nabi Azad that during this time he will not hold any rally.

During the hearing on Monday, advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Ghulam Nabi Azad, said in the court that Ghulam Nabi Azad is a six-time MP, former CM, yet he was sent back from Srinagar Airport. Ghulam Nabi Azad tried to return on 8, 20 and 24 August. Let us tell you that Ghulam Nabi Azad had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking permission to meet his family.
