Gyanvapi case: Stay on hearing in Varanasi court, SC granted till tomorrow

New Delhi: The controversial Gyanvapi Mosque case in Varanasi will now come up for hearing in the Supreme Court at 3 pm tomorrow. The apex court has stayed the hearing in the Varanasi court till then. Earlier, court commissioner Vishal Singh submitted the report of the Gyanvapi survey to the Varanasi court. The report from May 14 to 16 has been prepared in 12 pages.

Vishal Singh has filed the report in the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) of Varanasi. Earlier yesterday, court commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra, who was appointed earlier for the survey, had submitted a report on the proceedings taken on May 6 and 7 in the civil court on Wednesday. The court has also taken that report on record. The hearing in the Gyanvapi case will now be held in the Supreme Court at 3 pm tomorrow. The Supreme Court has stayed the hearing in the Varanasi court till then. In fact, in the Supreme Court, the Hindu side had sought time to file its reply.

On which the Supreme Court has given time till 3 pm tomorrow. The court has asked all the parties to submit their reports during this period. When the matter came up for hearing on Thursday, advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said that his fellow senior advocate Harishankar Jain was not in good health, so the court should give time till tomorrow to hear the matter. On this, the Supreme Court fixed the next date of hearing at 3 pm on Friday.
