Supreme Court puts fine of Rs. 5 lakh on Swami Om

New Delhi: The country's largest court has reduced the penalty of one million against Swami Om to five lakh. Not only this, the court has also asked to submit a report by filling the fine amount within eight weeks. Swami Om, who was in the limelight due to his controversial statements, filed a petition against the appointment of Judge Deepak Mishra as the Chief Justice (CJI) in the year 2017.

In this case, the court imposed a fine of 10 lakh rupees on Swami Om as a punishment but the penalty has not yet been paid by him. Swami Om opposed the decision to appoint former CJI Mishra as the 45th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Not only this, Swami Om had filed a challenge petition in the court to protest against this decision. After which the court turned down Swami Om's petition, along with this, it imposed a financial penalty of 10 lakhs on it, saying it was a petty act.

Swami Om was seen in season 10 of Bigg Boss. He was in a lot of discussions before coming on the show. He used to claim that he could see the future. Swami Om did such an act in Bigg Boss house that left the whole country astonished. Swami Om, who calls himself Baba, threw his urine on Bani J and Rohan during a task in Bigg Boss.
