New Delhi: Advocate Prashant Bhushan has received a major relief from the Supreme Court of the country. The court has stopped the police action against Prashant Bhushan, now he will not be arrested. The apex court has issued a notice to the Gujarat Police and asked them to reply in two weeks.

A petition was filed in the apex court against the FIR lodged against Bhushan in Gujarat, which was heard today in the apex court. The police had filed a case against lawyer Prashant Bhushan at Bhaktinagar police station in Gujarat on the complaint of a retired army soldier, Jaidev Joshi. In the FIR, he has been accused of hurting religious sentiments and making unwarranted comments on government orders. Bhushan had tweeted that when the country suffered crores of rupees due to forced lockdowns, the government would continue to air the Ramayana and Mahabharata serials on Doordarshan. Poppy is feeding people by starting broadcasting.

On this, the top court said that how can Bhushan determine what people are watching on TV. The court told Bhushan's lawyer Mr. Dave that anyone can watch anything on TV, how can you say what people can see and what not? On this, Mr. Dave said that we have not come here on the matter of people watching something on TV, we have come here on the basis of FIR.
