New Delhi: The Apex court on Tuesday categorically refused to hear a petition filed on the Tirupati Balaji temple complex in Tirumala on the law of worship and irregularities. The Supreme Court said the Constitutional Court cannot investigate the daily functions of a temple. State that the petition was filed challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court. In which questions were raised about the worship method during the festival of the temple.

The apex court said how the court can interfere in such cases as to how the customs will be conducted. The court said no constitutional court can look into the petitioner's demand for interference in the daily affairs of the temple. Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramana slammed the petitioner saying that such a petition has been filed for publicity. He said these issues cannot be determined in a writ petition. The Supreme Court said that apart from worship if the administration is ignoring the rules or violating any other system, the court may ask the Devasthanam Board to clarify the matter. Also, it will not be possible to interfere with the service.

In fact, a devotee had filed a PIL in the Supreme Court raising questions and objections about the chaos in the Balaji Temple (Venkateswara Swami Temple) complex, the worship method during the temple celebrations. Tirupati Balaji Temple in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh is one of the main pilgrimage sites of India. This ancient temple exists on the seventh peak of Tirupati mountain known as Venkatachala.
