Lucknow: Bahubali MLA Vijay Mishra from Bhadohi has suffered a major setback from the Supreme Court ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The court rejected his bail plea saying his case was not fit for bail. In fact, MLA Vijay Mishra had filed a special permission petition for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, which was heard and rejected by the apex court on Monday.

Justice DY Chandrachud said, 'This is not a suitable case for bail. The special permission petition is rejected. However, the petition can be filed again after the recording of the evidence is over.' In fact, Bahubali Independent MLA Vijay Mishra from Gyanpur in Bhadohi had sought bail in view of the UP assembly elections, which Justice Chandrachud said during the hearing that it was not a suitable bail case.

During the hearing of the case, Vijay Mishra's lawyer Mukul Rohatgi said such efforts are being made to prevent him from contesting the assembly elections. In fact, a complaint was lodged against Vijay Mishra by relative Krishna Mohan Tiwari at the Gopiganj police station in Bhadohi, accusing him of occupying the house, threatening to kill him and pressurizing him to make a will in the name of his son. After this Vijay Mishra was arrested from Madhya Pradesh. At present, Vijay Mishra is imprisoned in Agra Jail, Uttar Pradesh.
