New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday rejected BJP MP Gautam Gambhir's plea seeking a stay on the high court's order of inquiry into a case related to illegal storage and distribution of corona drugs. The Supreme Court dismissed the petition and slammed Gambhir saying that he was hoarding while people were craving for medicines during the corona epidemic.

A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah heard the matter in the apex court on Monday and said that we have seen newspaper and media reports. When people were fighting to buy corona medicines during the second wave of the corona, some people started distributing these medicines. That should not be done.

When advocate Kailash Vasudev, appearing for Gautam Gambhir, argued before the bench that the petitioners were helping the people, Justice MR Shah said that corona drugs cannot be distributed like this. Everyone saw how people were craving these medicines. It cannot be done. After which a bench of the apex court dismissed Gautam Gambhir's plea.
