Raipur: Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and BJP leader Sambit Patra have got a big relief from the Supreme court in the Toolkit Case. The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by the Chhattisgarh government challenging the High Court order staying the probe against former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh, BJP leader Sambit Patra in the toolkit case.

The Supreme court has urged the Chhattisgarh High Court to take an early decision on the petition filed by former CM Raman Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra in the fake toolkit case. The Supreme Court refused to consider the Chhattisgarh government's plea to stay the probe against the two leaders in the fake toolkit case.

A bench headed by Justice N V Ramanna on the matter said, ''let the Chhattisgarh High Court decide the matter.'' A bench of Justices Suryakant and Hima Kohli said that the existing cases cannot be treated separately as many cases related to the toolkit issue are pending in different high courts. SC said 'don't waste your energy here. We are not willing to consider special permission petitions. We reject SLP.''
