SC lashes out at delay in Palghar case, asks the government, 'what have you done so far?'

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has slammed the Maharashtra government for investigating the mob lynching case in Palghar, Maharashtra. The top court has questioned the Maharashtra government, what are you doing in this case? And what action has been taken against the police? The Supreme Court said that the Palghar case has been several months, what kind of action have you taken against the policemen? The next hearing in this case will be after 3 weeks.

The top court has summoned the investigation report against the Maharashtra Police. With this, the Supreme Court has ordered the Maharashtra government to bring the charge sheet on record. In the entire case, the central government has said that the apex court should see how the investigation has been done in this case. CBI investigation should be done only if the court is not satisfied with the state government's investigation.

In fact, before the hearing in the country's highest court, the Maharashtra Police had opposed handing over the investigation of the Palghar case to the CBI or NIA, in which the police had said that investigation is still going on, we cannot make the details of the investigation public. Along with this, Maharashtra police had also sealed the details of the investigation and filed it in the apex court.
