New Delhi: Today is the 22nd day of the agitation of farmers against the three agricultural laws brought by the Central government, but there is no way out. Neither the government is giving any indication at all to withdraw the law nor the farmers are in a mood to give up the strike. Meanwhile, today the Supreme Court will hear again whether farmers will stay on the border or they will be sent elsewhere.

A bench of Chief Justice (CJI) SA Bobde and Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramaniam had heard this on Wednesday and the court had sent a notice to the Central government, Punjab and Haryana government seeking a reply and adjourned the hearing for today. Significantly, a petition has been filed in the apex court regarding the agitation of farmers on the Delhi border in protest against the agricultural laws, which is to be heard for the second day today. This petition was filed by law student Rishabh Sharma.

This petition has demanded the removal of farmers from the Delhi border. In addition, the petition states that the gathering of people will increase the risk of spreading corona infection. It was further stated in the petition that it is necessary to remove people because roads are being blocked and emergency and medical services are also being affected. The agitators should be shifted to a place fixed by the government. Social distancing should be followed and masks used during the performance.
