New Delhi: The Supreme Court has agreed to hear on Wednesday the matter of cancellation of physical examinations of all 10th and 12th boards, including states, ICSE and CBSE. The petition, filed in the top court, has sought cancellation of offline examinations of state boards, CBSE and ICSE, citing the corona pandemic.

The supreme court has asked the petitioner to submit a copy of his petition to the CBSE as well. A bench of Supreme Court Justice AM Khanwilkar will hear the matter on Wednesday. On Monday, the supreme court had agreed to hear the matter and said that the matter was being sent to a bench of Justice Khanwilkar for hearing. 

The petition, filed by students of classes 10 and 12 from more than 15 states, has sought an alternative evaluation method for the upcoming board exams. Last year, CBSE, CISE, other state boards had decided to evaluate the students on the basis of alternative assessment criteria.
