New Delhi: The Supreme Court has constituted the bench to hear the petitions related to Article 370. The Constitution Bench headed by Justice NV Ramana comprises Judge Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Judge R. Subhash Reddy, Judge BR Gavai, Judge Suryakant. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has not kept himself in this bench. He is retiring on 17 November. The constitution bench headed by him is currently hearing the Ayodhya case.

Earlier on August 28, the Supreme Court had asked the Central Government to respond to the petitions challenging the decision to remove Section 370 and Article 35A from Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from issuing a notice to the central government, the Supreme Court had sent the case to the Constitution Bench of 5 judges. The bench has now been formed in the same episode.
